Just joined to hopefully become a FULL member in the near future depending on the outcome of my dilemma.

I am 6'6" tall, and am looking to downsize from a BMW 3 series coupe which I have had since February 2008. Reason being since October 2008 my job location changed and the car is no longer being used as much as I would like.

I have ALWAYS loved the BMW Mini since it was launched but never thought I would ever think about getting one due to my height.

Have heard from various people though, that it's like a Tardis, whereas it looks smaller than it actually is inside. From what they say I could fit into it quite comfortably like any other car, just that nobody would be able to sit behind me. Fact is, I don't really mind that being a single guy :( lol.

Whats your thoughts?

(fingers crossed)

I'm 6"4' and the fit is good. My wife just bought an 09 Mini S and loves it. I have an M3 and love it.:)

You've got it spot on. You'll fit without issue, but there won't be much room behind you for passengers. Most people would say there's never been any room for passengers in the back but I'm 5'9" and we have 4 adults in the car without issue. I wouldn't want to take it on a cross country trip that way but getting around town would be fine. Also, if you can live without the sunroof, it should give you some more space.

Saw Clarkson in one on youtube last night, so gave me hope!!

Went to see one today, and the dealer was like "ha, yeah right, theres no way you'll fit in one. I'll give you the keys anyway to try but it's not gonna happen!"

He was like a major know-all.

His face changed when I sat in it and lowered the seat tho.

Ive never had anybody sitting behind me in a car anyway.

Def wanna get one now
