glove box pops open - 2002 hatchback

Just bought my first mini around Thanksgiving 08. I'm enjoying it, but the glove box door keeps falling open; anyone else have that problem with a 2002 mini? Please post response if you've seen that, or if you know a solution.

i noticed this on mine when i 1st got her too and it turned out to be the service book stopping it from closing,,,,doh !!!!!!! not made that mistake again,,,i took it back to the main dealer !!!!!!!!!

i have the same problem with a 03
and theres nothin in the glove box
currently cellotaped shut!!:confused:

Does this happen when you lock it? or is it just a case of you driving and it opens all by itself...could be a latch issue when you go over a bump...in any case try to find a second hand glove box door and swap the 2...see if that does the fix.
