Just Got Our Black Countryman with Black Wheels Yesterday (Slide Show)

Well yesterday (January 15th, 2011) my wife and I picked up our Black Mini Cooper Countryman with Black/Anthracite wheels. We drove 220 miles from Dallas, Texas to Edmond Oklahoma to pick it up. Liking it a lot so far. Its pretty well equipped...Automatic Transmission, Heated Seats, Heated and Foldable Mirrors, Harmon-Kardon Sound system, Dual Sunroofs, Sport Suspension, Blue Tooth, just to name a few of the options.

I went out this morning and took a few photos. The weather was rainy, but I managed to get some decent shots anyway.

Didn't think of it but the car will be driven by my wife mostly so the only thing we're really considering is adding some stripes. Trying to decide what color though. Any suggestions? What do you guys think? Should we add stripes or not? And if so what color?

Id black the car out by changing out the orange reflectors for clear or blackout ones before stripes :) But Stripes wouldbe another way to go and would look sick too, if so I would go with either silver/white stripes or actually orange stripes would look really unbelieveable (think 911 GT3RS), but it depends on your personality.

Personally, I think you are right, its meant to go without stripes.

But if you do stripe it, go for the jugular (orange :)

Hey Guys - well I got a great price on the trade in of my Subaru Outback. My plan was to order a somewhat loaded Silver Mini Countryman All4. However today when I took my car (Subaru) in for appraisal...the dealer just happened to have an all black, fully loaded All4. It was so sexy....after they made me an offer on my car...I snapped up the Absolute Black Countryman immediately. Its not in my possession yet - but I've made a deposit and signed the paperwork. I'm hoping to have it in the next couple of days, if there are no kinks in the closing process. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

I am soooo excited - I know I won't be able to sleep tonight :happyanim:

Thanks much! Thanks also for posting your slide show. Great shots and beautiful car. I may pick up mine this weekend...although we have so much slush and road salt in the streets here in NYC. I may wait until Monday and hope that some this stuff dries up. There will be time to spend in the snow...I don't know that I want it to be the first day I drive out of the dealership.

Guys - I picked up the Countryman yesterday (Saturday). I LOVE this car!!! I have been driving all weekend. Sorry no pics yet - the weather hasn't been great. And I just hate standing out in the cold.

Polojankins - thanks for warning me about the stares. A guy and his wife stopped me in the parking lot - asked if they could take a look. People have stopped me at traffic lights, the car wash (I had to get the salt and slush off) - its a little freaky. But I am really enjoying the car. I promise pics soon.

This is a sick combination, only rivaled in my opinion by the True Blue with white stripes.

I got my Countryman in white with black a couple of weeks ago (January 14th), but the weather here hasn't been cooperating for picture time. I think I may just go get it rinsed and take a few snaps right now...

I want the black leathrette with the blue doors and center rail.
So why did u pick the white over the true blue?
If I were going to go with true blue, I'd still get all black. Without the stripes though. I love the black combo.

Interesting. Thanks for the thoughts on the blue ambient lighting. I hadn't thought of that. Was another reason why I didn't want to go with the true blue b/c it doesn't come with the blue door accents. But the lighting makes a lot of sence.
I guess another good thing about not being able to purchase mine yet, is being able to get a lot of feedback from others whom have already purchased.
Think I'll take a road trip when I finally get mine! :happyanim:

This looks a lot like the one I ordered, except I bought the chrome package I.e chrome rear view mirrors and chrome around the grill and so forth..I should get my car next week.

:sigh: still waiting for my mini.....it's been a long 8 weeks ! Did anyone get the piano black dash board ? My mini is the s all4 absolute black on black ....chrome package inside and out. Black lounge leather seats with white pin stripe, heated. Sunroof, iPod...Bluetooth ready...keyless entry.
