I was just at the Chicago Autoshow and my wife fell in love with the new Countryman S All4 (originally were looking at the X3 and Q5, and still are), the car we saw at the autoshow looked orange, and the interior looked orange, but on their website all I see is Pure Red, is this the same color? in my photos it looks red sometimes and orange at others but the interior looked orange for sure...

Also on the options page you can get a Redwood shifter and e-brake handle, but if the pure red is more of an orange I worry those won't match the rest of the interior, any insights to this?

Here are some pictures I took, some of them look red, others orange, in person it was orange for sure (in showroom lighting at least)

Did you get any clarification on this? I too was at the Chicago Auto show and saw the orange MINI. I have a Pure Red on order, due in later this month. When I saw the orange color I was shocked, although as orange goes it was really neat. Two cars away from this one was a Countryman that actually looked red. So I came away thinking that the orange one was a custom color just for display at the auto shows. Now I am wondering if the lighting could possibly be so significant an impact that it could make the same color look SO different...

I ordered a true red Countryman Cooper D this morning, chilli pack, red hot pack, DAB tuner, MP3 connector, I didn't go crazy on the options, I really screwed the dealer on trade for my 2007 Cooper Clubman, so all in all feeling pretty good this morning.

Checked in with MINI USA, even sent them the link to this page, and received this response:
