Coundnt help noticing the other day whilst driving on snow that when i went to brake there was this grinding noise as if the pads were down to bare metal against the discs. However, once i got on to normal clear road the noise disappeared and normal braking........got back on snow and the grinding noise appeared again.... Is there something i should know about the ASC-T OR ABS? Should i turn the ASC OFF TO DRIVE IN SNOW?

Sounds like it is just the noise made by the tires moving through the snow. Was it really cold when you were driving? Was it fresh snow? Did you notice anything different in the feel of the brake pedal when you pressed it? more details please...:)
The ABS/Traction Control system tends to make a noise sometimes when being worked over time trying to stop the wheels skidding on ice is a big ask ;) nothing to worry about I wouldnt have thought.

I live in Chicago and currently drive a 325i. Makes the same sound. I am pretty sure most cars make that sound when driving through the snow.

If there was any gravel/sand put down that can also cause this kind of sound. When you have a chance see if there are any serious grooves in the rotor, that will indicate whether or not something may be stuck on the pad.
