Does anyone know what the towing capacity is on the Countryman S ALL4? I have looked online but haven't seen anything. Not that I would be towing a boat or anything but it would be nice to know the abilities. What about a jet ski?

I don't think they want anyone to tow with it. Towing is tricky business. If you give it a rating then it needs to live up to it, and most people over load and tow incorrectly to begin with. Maybe they are trying to curb possible issues. I did notice in their literature that it says there is no tow package available.. Total capacity 0...

I puchased my CM in April. I am looking at bike racks and purchased a Yakihama not knowing clearly about the towing capability or the hitch, thinking I could just go to Uhaul and bolt a hitch on like chevy or ford. Anyway, I found this site that allows for a towing hitch,

http://www.caboosetrailers.com/Caboose_Trailers/Welcome.html

Also found instructions for a complete install of a bracket under the bumper at
http://www.minidomore.com/

Hope this helps. I will may end up purchasing the trailer hitch from Cabossetrailers as I think it will fit my needs better but I still prefer the complete install of the bracket because it can be hidden.

That is a nice alternative to a permanent hitch. Fairly cheap considering it requires no profressional installation.

Thanks for the info..
