Had my gearbox oil changed as you suggested for that noise i had sometimes pulling away in 1st gear.... Used MTF94 BY TEXACO.
The noise seems to have gone and the good thing is that while it was up on the ramp my friend who works for BMW told me that the lower arm bushes were worn out and it could cost me around £400 to fix but to check my warranty.........Thank god Mini warranty covers it.(he said it is not dangerous)
Got to tell you that i took my car to Crystal Palace national sports ground to turn my car full lock ten times in both directions and drive round...
Well it was 8.30am on a Sunday morning and the Police turned up and thought i had been on the beer!
After i told them what i was doing they laughed their heads off!
