I drive a '08 MCS Sidewalk Convertible, and LSD is my only option. New to the Mini world, and really enjoying the car a lot, a total blast to drive. But inside me, i'm always gonna be a VW enthousiast.
I'm an Armament Tech in the Canadian Air Forces F-18 Jet fighter(we almost call it a flying club:rolleyes: ), rank is Corporal for life, lol :D

Just wanted to say "Hi" A little about myself.....I bought my first DS/DS Mini Cooper S back in 2003 taking delivery the day "Italian Job" came out so that was very cool. I sold it and took delivery of a 2005 DS/DS MCS and did some mods to it (15% pulley JCW software, JCW intake.)
A friend drove the car and loved it and wanted to buy making me an offer I couldnt refuse.......sold it a year later for more than I paid and ordered a 2006 SB/SB MCS which has 16% pulley, Webb Motorsport Intake and 18" ASA R1's. Attached some pix.
Good evening all. My wife and I will be new MINI owners very soon. It will be our first MINI's. We are both getting new ones. We are week 49 builds and hope to have our hands on our cars by the first of Jan. At least I sure hope so. We made the mistake of taking a few test drives a couple of weeks ago and that was all she wrote.
We placed our order a few weeks ago and they cars should be completed on Monday Dec. 1.
My wife and I have been married 26 years the 20th of this month and that is the justification we're using to buy 2 new MINI's. (It will also be our Christmas gift to each other.)
Anyway, I hope I can learn a few more things on this forum. Take care all. Once we take delivery I will strive to post a few pictures of the new additions.
Regards,
P&M

I also just joined but in a sadder vein as my mini was stolen from outside my house (Wallington, Surrey) on Sunday night and I am desparate to get it back....
It had a factory alarm / immobiliser so probably wasn't joy riders.
It is a late model cooper (silver roof, silver leather silver dash and door mirrors, silver stripes on bonnet) with a full length webasto sunroof and a dent in the top right hand corner of the boot lid.
Please post this wherever you can...
If you see it please get in contact with me and the police.
Many thanks

Hello everyone ! New to the Mini World and love the car. The "Go-Cart" my dad didn't buy me when I was a kid. My mini is a 2007S. It has 6000mi on it so far. It has a few built quality issues but still a great car.. e.g. Moonroof track replaced, cruise control reprogrammed, some rattles in the dash and door, loose grill chrome pieces. I hope that is it and no more issues.

Hi, I have a 2007 Clubman Cooper D, from NZ but live in Norway, came over from Bimmerpost. This is my third MINI, my first was a 1973 Clubman 1100, my second was a 1981 Mini 1000, my forth will be either a Countryman or the next generation Clubman if the rumors of it having two suicide doors are correct.

Just picked up a mini cooper convertible this weekend,
2010 Chili Red 'Vert
Silver hood stripes
Probably gonna try and pick up the r99 gray wheels, any opinions on those wheels?
Definitely looking into getting rid of the run flats as soon as they are done.
What other mods are good to start with on the regular cooper and not the s for a little extra go in the go cart?

Very nice to see influx or members lately. R99 wheels in gray are nice but they usually look better on darker colored cars. Have you considered silver finish? Might look better with your red color and silver hood stripes.
Intake is usually a common first mod and could give you some added 'pep' :) Look into K&N.

Ahh good idea with the silver wheels.
This is actually my moms new car I drive a imola red BMW 330ci and I put silver wheels on that so the silver on this would probably be a good choice.
She opted to not get the s but I think she still wants a little more go in the cooper.
Where is the best place to buy mini parts?
Thanks again,

I just wanted to see hello as I've just joined as I'm in the process of buying my first MINI Cooper (put down a deposit today on an 03' beauty in blue - hopefully collect within 7 days - can't wait!). Hello Mini Forum,
Just joining and trying to find my way around. Most pressing issue is the rims, looking to buy black rims and want a wider stance. Any suggestions would be great. On a tight budget. Thanks for all the help. Pics coming soon.

I personally love the Konig Feathers. Very sharp looking wheel and very nicely priced.
You want to be careful and not go with to big an offset as it will adversely effect the handling of the MINI. The front end is kinda finicky about offset.
Link to a nice article on wheel basics.

Furthermore, I am curious to know what you all look for in a MINI Sales rep. What makes a good salesman and representative of the MINI brand?
