Needing some tyre info
I have a Cooper S 2007 With sports suspension (factory)
Running on 17 " alloys with run flat tyres .
Problem on poor road surface , with power on, the car is all over the road , you can hit a small uneven patch , and the car picks itself up and plonks you
back down 3 feet from your original line often over the white line , for a brown trouser job! I borrowed a Clubman Cooper diesel from a local BMW dealer whilst my car was in for service , And I was gobsmacked same roads full power on,16 inch wheels no sport suspension . The car rock soild only tyre squeal.
My delemar
would fitting 17" by a 50 - 55 series NON runflat tyre help ? can you go up to 50 -55 series ? or do i drop down to a 16 " wheel and 55 series tyres ?
Note all the motoring press consistantly say with sport suspension stick with 16" wheels? they say 17 "18" with sport suspension gives a fidgity harsh ride
I dont fancy taking the spot suspension kit off , SO will a tyre change solve the ride ?
Any wheel and tyre buffs want to comment please .
cheers in advance
