Any one here running on aftermarket springs or shocks or coilovers?
Any popular setups out there you can recommend would be appreciated. Looking to have a streetable setup with maybe just an occassional auto-x or spirited driving session.

I actually just had a ride in a JCW kitted car and it was certainly stiff but not so bouncy and VERY sporty. I think coilovers are a good option too if you are willing to live with the ride and want a very extreme ride

I had a Dodge SRT-4 before the Mini. I had Tein Super Street system. I raced that car almost monthly and still daily drove to work. The Tein system is a bit pricey but is definately worth it. Daily driving is a much more stiff but not uncomfortable and auto-x is unbelievable! Front and rear struts bars are a good addition also.

Best budget suspension is to go with the TSW springs and Koni yellow struts. Next step would be a coilover setup.

I use to have GAZ Coilovers in my last mini but what a nightmare they were! My car was stood most of the time in a roofed garage and only used for summer but even still the Zinc plated coilovers stained and corroded! without driving it?! Got this white stuff growing around the plate and in the threads. Then when I did start using the car, after about 3 months I tried to adjust the suspension only by 3mm and the threads got crosseddue to the corrosion! I followed the exact instructions that come with the kit too! So was stuck with the ride height! lol! I paid just under £700.00 for the kit about a year ago.
Instead I would recommend a spring & shocker kit rather that coilovers as its better value for money and also the car will sit right and drive right too.

i would disagree on my old mini i ran wietech coilovers they cost me £500 good value for coilovers and i believe a better ride quality than the h&r's im running now! i find that there is a bone crushing ride on shocks and springs and you tend to go through bushes like you go through ur knickers, pay the xtra cash on coilovers and get them professionally fitted and setup if you dont have the know how is def worth while.

I am a huge fan of KW coilovers. They have 3 different applications so you can choose how "racey" and how much you want to pay. They are very well tuned dampers, and very well made.
