Apparently here in Essex we are about to get 8" of snow. Being near Xmas I have got got a lot of driving to do.

I believe the Clubman is front wheel drive which may help. But how does it deal with driving in the snow?
One review I read stated they got stuck in the white stuff!!

Have you taken your Clubman through snow?
Wil you take your Clubman through the expected snow?

No different than any other well designed front wheel drive car. Just make sure to get some decent tires and don't try to drive in snow more than about 4" deep.

My car wears winter tyres in winter, I live in Norway, it goes as well as any other car I've had, much better than the e91 we recently traded, RWD and snow (even with spiked winter tyres) is a piss poor combination.

Not surprised. A FWD car with snow tires is still better than a RWD with snow tires. What'd you trade the e91 for?

How much higher is the Clubman's ground clearance than the Cooper?

Traded it for a Volvo V70 2.4D R Design, also a far better winter car than the e91.

If the next 3 series is bigger than the e9x I might look at moving back to BMW, I wouldn't mind a 5er but as a value for money proposition the V70 kicks it into touch.

Looks like you'll get your wish cause the F30 3-series looks bigger inthe spy pics. Did your E91 have xDrive? I'm curious to see how the countryman's 4wd system is.

No my e91 didn't have xDrive, I've thought about getting a AWD but the number of times where it would have been useful I would count on 2 fingers in the past 5 winters.

Little late add here, but my Clubman S on H&R springs did just fine this winter. Mine wears all season tires (factory option) for the winter which aren't the best, but legal. I had some traction issues...but who wouldn't on 2-3" of iced over snow?
