Fuel consumption

I have a new clubman diesel. I am only getting an average 51mpg, when going on long runs ave speed 50, it should do alot more. How are other people getting on?

That seems pretty close to what I am getting. It might vary a little between similar cars but probably not much. A little engine tweaking and proper maintenance might help a little.

I'm getting 5.3 liters per 100 km. Mine gets a thrashing so I think it's pretty good.
