How long should Mini One Bushes last?

Help needed!

We have a Mini One and love the car. As the car is quite old now with 90,000 miles on the clock, we have it serviced by a local garage rather than BMW. In January this year we had the bushes replaced for the MoT and now the MoT is due again they are telling us they need replacing again and have done less than 10,000 miles and charge a fortune to do the job saying they have to take a lot of the car apart to do the work.

Does anyone else have any experience of this and do you think we are being ripped off!

Explain "bushes"

if you mean the front arm bushes then yes these are very common for spliting, i work at a main dealer and we replace aprox 5 sets a day on cars rainging in millage from 10000 miles to 100000 miles hope this helps
