Hi All,

We have recently bought our first mini & thought that it would be a good

idea to join the forum.

Our mini is a 2005 1.4 diesel pepper pack in Electric Blue with 36000 miles on

the clock.

So far we are delighted with the car which seems well built with excellent

handling & superb at cruising on the motorway with that tall 6th gear.

I wonder if any of your member could confirm whether this model has analarm

as well as an immobiliser fitted standard.

It would be nice to hear any comments from other diesel owners with any

tips or advice on this model.

Hello there!

We don't have MINI Ds in the States. I've been to Europe, but never got a chance to ride or drive a diesel MINI. I hear they're excellent!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the '05 diesels have alarms, or it was optional if they do. You can check by looking at your turn-indicator stalk: if there's a red light at the end of it, then you have an alarm. If it's not there, you don't.

Not sure what you mean by an immobiliser, but I wouldn't want to get in the way of one! :p

hi yes your mini does have a alarm and immobliliser its calld ews and its the best bmw mini safety system in the world.!! its impossible for any one to start yor mini without the keys
