Well, it's time for a 1st set of new brake pads for our '08 Clubman (with 38K miles) and I was wondering what people on this forum are using for replacements. I've noticed that pad sets for Mini Coopers are kind of pricy so I would like to get some that will last. Also, any recommendations for suppliers/websites with the best prices would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you checked on www.motoringalliance.com or www.northamericanmotoring.com?
Lots of great vendors and info.
I am currently using the Cool Carbon pads from www.bavauto.com and love them, but I am more interested in a performance pad than a long life one.

I appreciate that info. Are you familiar with EBCs line of pads? I am looking at the green ones...prices from mossmini.com seem to be the lowest for those. I will check out the other forums as well-thanks!

I have some good things about the EBC pads, but just don't use them to hard. I know they will not stand up to prolonged heavy use.
Another good pad is the Hawk ceramic pads.

Hi friends!
I’m looking for something not too much costly and really I just wish for a performance appears and something that's calm down and has no squeak. I am wondering if it's probable to just alter the rotors to cross drilled and slotted and alter out the calipers to some red ones. Do you think the Oem base brake pads will work with the rotors or do I want to upgrade them too?
