hiya im new to this but i need help asap i have a 54 reg mini convertible and i having problems opening the car with the key, the central locking seems fine as its locking from the inside and when driving over 12mph as it does. just wondering if this could be the rechargable battery in the key ive checked the hand book and it says they the key charges as you drive!!

yes it could be the battery in the key. but i dont think you can replace it. do you have 2 keys or 1 does it not work from both if you have 2? if not it could be the rear view mirror which has the reciver for the remote inside but if it works off 1 and not the other its most likley the key
