COOPER S QUESTIONS

Have recently bought a 2003 mini cooper s and obviously am getting use to what the car does.

Have noticed that the clutch is quite heavy and not as light to press as my ford fiesta........Have been told this is due to it being a heavy duty clutch????
I dont have any probs, just a lighter clutch would be nicer.

Cannot fault the car in any way as it is superb and better than the cooper i had 20 years back.

Anyone else know how hard the clutch should be???

if i understand all, then with your car all is ok :) driving with Mini Cooper S i quite different as all other cars... Sometimes i feel like my car is more havy as all others, but when u are on the "track" u can see the difference why this and this is more different like others.

Oh it' s not easy to explane what i' m thinking .... :/

i' m in England 4 months, but it' s not passible learn english, couse mostly around are Polish people :/ and if you don' t talk in Polish, then maybe in Russha ... eh.

This is a very subjective question, heavy to one maybe light to another.

Best thing to do would be to try and drive a first gen MINI (03-06) and compare the two

The cooper S uses a dual mass flywheel which causes this and is normal it a design feature for peformance drivability
