Hi,
I was reading my manual for my 06 S, and noticed that it says that with the key either in the door or by holding down ther unlock button for a few seconds the windows will roll down automaticaly. Is this for all cars? and if so is there a way that it can be deactivated? My car does not do this when I hold down the button or with the key. As I bought this MINI used I am wondering if the previous owners have deactivated it. If anyone can help I would be thankful.

I own an 07 Mini S (R56) and it does the same with the key from the factory. I am not certain that it can be programmed by the owner. I think it came from the factory that way. I would contact your local Mini Dealer to find out the facts.

Better ask Dealer. My Mini does the same, couse it' s 07 Mini also you should not unlock all doors.. You can open only back door with the back door button (dont know how it calls in english, but i think you all know what i mean :).. ) and all other doors still will be close, that is good thing for people like me who sometimes go to car few times in 10min :D and in the last time forgot close car... :)))
But if you are realy interested about this question and you can not contact with dealer, then i can ask to my friend about this thing, couse he is selling Mini in Latvia ;))

I have this activated. My car auto-locks at 10mph, and auto-unlocks when I turn the key to position 0. I basically don't have to touch my locks at all.

Thanks,
You have been really helpfull with both my questions posted here. I do appreciate the addvice. This list is very good info. I have read the manual but I guess I just didn't retain a bunch of this kind of stuff. Thanks again,
David

Not a problem, glad I could help.

You might want to check out both www.northamericanmotoring.com (a very large site, but still has some good info) or www.coopernation.com for a bit more enjoyable group.
