I have had my Cooper S for just over a Month now and being the picky type i always seem to worry about nothing with cars.

Is this car suppose to have a smooth ride or are you suppose to feel every bump and every vibration noise when doing under 35mph?

Also i get a slight sought of squeek when i pull off in first gear sometimes as if something is dry?? does not happen all the time and it is not coming from the gear box either. Its not really a big issue but i did say i was picky.

I also have just bought an 06 s, and I think that the car has such a sports suspention that you will feel every bump and pebble on the road. I know that I do and my car only had 13000 miles on it when i got it. so when on the freeway i will ride in which ever lane is the smoothest. on bumpy roads it will give you a good bouncy ride.

hi the noise your getting when your pulling of is coming fron the gear box get our local dealer to replace the gear box oil then drive in a circle 10 times to the wright and do the same to the left this will allow the oil to pentrate the diff and will cure the noise hope this helps i work for a mini dealer and we sea this problem all the time
