engine noise

Hi guys, haven't used this forum before, but i have a mini cooper S on a 53 plate and recently the engine has been making a strange noise.
when you turn the engine off and u can hear the supercharger just before, when you turn it off the engine continues to make a humming noise for about 3 seconds then stops. doesnt sound healthy one bit. could it be a seal on the supercharger??

Hi there I am afraid that I can not help with the noise but I wondered if you could help me . I have a new iginition coil although the wires that come off it are a bit old and I think that is what causing my mini not to start. I wondered if you new the names of these electric wires. This would save my mini hell as its my only car. Look forward to any help

hi there i have the same problem aswell, i think it might be our timming belt have u fixed your noise from the engine yet?

hi helenbean04 what age is your mini if its a r50 r52 or r53 the leads you want are ht leads iam a mini tech feel free to ask questions, also minis dont have timing belts they have timing chains its only the new r56 mini diesels that have cambelts hope this helps
